Positive rewards and recognition

At Murrumbidgee Regional High School, we value all students and aim to acknowledge them for their efforts, behaviour and contributions to the school and local community. As such, we’ve developed a number of awards for our students.

Merit System

Students who make an effort in class, represent the school or perform a school or community service will earn merits and house points. These merits are tallied up, and students receive further recognition for their efforts.

  • Students who receive 5 merits in a single category will earn a bronze award.
  • Students who receive 10 merits across 2 categories will receive a silver award.
  • Students who receive 15 merits across 3 categories will receive a gold award.
  • Students who receive 20 merits across 4 categories will receive a framed platinum award and a prize at presentation day.
  • Students who receive 20 merits across 4 categories and have attendance above 90% will receive a framed diamond award and a prize at presentation day.
