This week, our Year 8 Geography students discussed what makes somewhere a nice place to live in their Place and Liveability expo.
The students, who spent Term 3 exploring climate data, geographical features, town planning and social factors like crime, put all their findings together to create a stall for the event.
There were 20 displays in total, made by teams of 3 -4. The Year 8s made signage for their exhibit and got creative with how they presented their data, creating dioramas and newsclips for the occasion.
“We were hoping them to get creative in how the class approach geography,” explains geography teacher Kara Sergi, “We were really pleased with how the afternoon turned out.”
The students will now move on to study interconnections and globalisation in the coming week.
