On a drizzly Friday, 30 of our runners braved the mud and the rain to compete at the Zone Cross Country in Hillston.
Wade certainly brought the heat to the late autumn’s day, with 14 of our students qualifying for the next level of the competition and five of our students: Ruby Kenny, Milly Aitken, Nate Mingay, Jack Jasnos and Hamish Ellis, crowned age champions.
Wade’s overall performance also won them second place overall on points. We racked up 575 points, only narrowly losing to Narrandera High School by a margin of five points.
Our runners will now move on to compete at the Riverina Cross Country Carnival in Gundagai on Friday 13 June. Good luck!
