As part of the NSW Government's plan to rebuild essential services, a project is underway to upgrade Murrumbidgee Regional High School – Wade (stage 2) to provide a multipurpose hall which includes a stage, air conditioning, retractable seating, a full-sized basketball court, storage rooms and kitchenette facilities, male and female toilets, showers and change rooms and an undercover area.
Investigative works
As part of planning for this project, soil investigation works around the school site are required.
The works contractor will use a specialised track-mounted drilling rig and an excavator to help us determine the best ways to build foundations and other aspects of the building. This work will take place in the agricultural plot area, and the machines will be roughly as loud as a commercial lawnmower.
Working hours
The soil investigations will take place on Tuesday 3 December and Wednesday 4 December 2024, weather permitting. All works relating to these investigations will take place between 7 am and 4 pm, Monday to Friday.
