Last Friday the school was lucky enough to get a visit from the NSW Premier the Honourable Chris Minns MP and local state member Helen Dalton MP.
The visit was opened with an Acknowledgment of Country from student Lomani Judd. School captains Ali Ali Zada and Digby Jones then hosted a tour of Wade’s fantastic facilities and helped with the turning of the sod on the new Multipurpose Hall.
While on site, the entourage honoured School Administration Officer Lesley Blackshaw’s remarkable 49 years with the NSW Department of Education with flowers and a certificate of community recognition from Helen Dalton. Mrs Dalton will also read the contents of the certificate in NSW Parliament for the Hansard.
Finally, the tour concluded in the library where Mr Minns and Mrs Dalton got to witness the cutting edge work of our Aurora students first-hand.
