Last week our open boys tennis team went to Deniliquin to play the second round in the CHS competition against Albury High School.
Although Wade were convincingly defeated by Albury, the catering from the Deniliquin Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club was absolutely first class. Students Beau Cooper, Beau Castle, Wyatt Carter and Alias Manila were cooked a barbeque lunch by club volunteers and provided cakes, slices and drinks.
“The boys definitely improved their game from the first round,” explains team coach Kathy Gee, “The games were played in good spirits and there was some great sportsmanship on the court.”
Albury will now move on to compete in the state finals after defeating Coolamon. A huge thank you to the Deniliquin Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club for their gracious hospitality!
